Saturday's bride Lauren and I have a shared passion for cake.... and chocolate! So it was no surprise that she went all out to create the most delicious and elegant cake table for her and Sam's wedding day at Didsbury House Hotel - My love of this table may have been heightened by the fact that the very talented and lovely Sarah from Pink Cocoa  plied us with freshly made macaroons to keep us energised during the bridal prep!

Lauren and Sam opted for a modern twist on the classical tiered wedding cake and instead chose a selection of smaller cakes in their favourite flavours, along with truffles and THE most tasty selection of lemon, vanilla and raspberry macaroons I've ever had! They also included a centrally placed, simply iced, fruit cake so that they were able to "cut the cake". Your wedding cake can be whatever you want it to be, I have a wedding coming up who have chosen to have a cake smash instead of a cake cut - I can not wait for the photos of that! 

I also can't get enough of the foliage and blooms from Didsbury Flower Lounge that compliment the elegance of this wedding cake table so well.
